Is Guru Nanak Jayanti Visible On The Stock Market? View MCX, NSE, and BSE Trading Hours

<p>Due to Guru Nanak Jayanti, the Indian stock market will be closed today, November 27. All day long, trading will be stopped in the interest rate derivatives sector, equity derivatives segment, SLB segment, and currency derivatives segment. <p>Due to the settlement holiday, investors’ November 24 commodities account balances will not reflect credits from successful trades or positions in commodity derivatives, nor will they reflect credits from selling option holdings.</p>
<p>Investors will get their money on November 29 once the monies that were taken out on November 24 are processed on November 28.</p>
<p>Similarly, on November 28, gains and credits from transactions or position exits in the derivatives section (F&O and CDS) on November 24 may be withdrawn.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, November 28, trading is scheduled to resume on the NSE and BSE stock markets.</p>
<p>So far in 2023, the stock market has been closed on 13 weekdays (November 27 not included) because to a number of festivals and official holidays. Christmas Day, December 25, is the only day in December when financial markets are closed.</p>
<p>Friday, November 24th, saw a flat closing note for the indexes. As IT companies continued in their downward trajectory, the Nifty dropped below 19,800. The Sensex closed at 65,970, down 48 points from its opening value. The larger market, on the other hand, proved resilient and outperformed the main indexes.</p>
<p>Both the Nifty and the Sensex concluded the week slightly higher. For the fourth week in a row, the Midcap Index continued its upward trend, gaining 0.6 percent, while the Nifty Bank saw a 0.5 percent rise. Real estate, metals, and pharmaceuticals were the top-performing industries in terms of sectors; PSU banks and IT had the worst falls.</p>
