“Observe Their Organization, Funding for Players, and Reserved Talent”: Pakistani Icon Wasim Akram Praises India

India enjoyed a memorable world cup even if they didn’t win the trophy because of “one bad day.”

Before dominating New Zealand in the semifinal, the team captained by Rohit Sharma won all nine of their league games. The way that India easily defeated their opponents made headlines more than their triumphs, considering how little opposition they faced up to their summit match against Australia last Sunday.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-284478″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-observe-their-organization-funding-for-players-and-reserved-talent-pakistani-icon-1-1.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com observe their organization funding for players and reserved talent pakistani icon 1 1″ width=”1456″ height=”817″ title=”"Observe Their Organization, Funding for Players, and Reserved Talent": Pakistani Icon Wasim Akram Praises India 3″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-observe-their-organization-funding-for-players-and-reserved-talent-pakistani-icon-1-1.jpg 474w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-observe-their-organization-funding-for-players-and-reserved-talent-pakistani-icon-1-1-390×220.jpg 390w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-observe-their-organization-funding-for-players-and-reserved-talent-pakistani-icon-1-1-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1456px) 100vw, 1456px” />

Legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram acknowledged that the Indian team must have been devastated by the outcome of the final, but he also gave them advice on how to keep up the good work and highlighted the factors that contributed to their remarkable run.

“They should obviously be devastated to lose the championship match, but in cricket, these things do happen. Unfortunately, India’s poor day occurred during the final, according to Akram.

“When you consider their organizational structure, player compensation, well planned initiatives, and reserve potential, it becomes clear that they should keep up these efforts. Their cricket team is doing well,” he said.

Given that he had a similar loss to Australia in the 1999 World Cup final while serving as Pakistan’s captain, Akram may relate to India’s misfortune.

“They were a different side in the final, just like yesterday in Ahmedabad, even though we had defeated them in the league stage,” Akram said during his captaincy during the 1999 World Cup match.

Rashid Latif, a different former captain of Pakistan, believes that Australia’s mental tenacity allowed them to overcome two early losses to win the record sixth ODI world championship, even though he thinks that India should have won.

“Maybe the Indian players are experiencing psychological issues. Although this squad deserved to win the World Cup final, Latif praised the Australians for demonstrating one again how resilient and well-prepared they are for competition.

After the pace ended as the top wicket-taker in the World Cup, Latif selected Mohammed Shami as India’s outstanding performance. Shami took 24 wickets in only seven games.

“Observe how he (Shami) has developed and performed so well. He was, in my view, India’s most outstanding player at the World Cup, Latif said.
