<p>Sourav Ganguly has spoken out over Yuzvendra Chahal’s omission from the Indian team for the 2023 Asia Cup and the country’s lack of ICC titles.</p>
<p>The last time India won an ICC championship was in 2013, when they defeated England to win the Champions Trophy. They did make it to the World Cup semifinals in 2015 and 2019, but they crumbled under pressure.</p>

<p>India also qualified for the 2021 and 2023 World Test Championship Finals, however they were unsuccessful in both attempts to claim the championship.</p>
<p>During an occasion, Ganguly observed, “You cannot win World Cups all the time, there will be terrible moments, there will be gaps.</p>
<p>However, India will be vying for the World Cup crown at home, and Ganguly insisted that his batters must perform.</p>
<p>Ganguly, who led India to the 2003 World Cup final, stated, “They will have to bat extremely well, if they bat well they will win.</p>
<p>For the Asia Cup, which will serve as a warm-up for the 2018 ODI World Cup, the Men in Blue have selected a 17-member roster. There have been several questions about Chahal’s absence from the team.</p>
<p>Ganguly outlined the rationale for India’s decision to choose Axar Patel over Chahal. “Due to Axar Patel’s batting, they chose him over Chahal. So, in my opinion, it’s a wise choice. In the event that anybody is hurt, Chahal may still return. Two members of this 17-member group will in any event have to go, he added.</p>
<p>KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, two crucial batsmen, have both recovered from injury.</p>
<p>Rahul, though, is still bothered by something.</p>
<p>He’s well and no longer injured, according to Ganguly.</p>
<p>Prior to hosting Australia at home, India will compete in the Asia Cup, where they will play Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.</p>
<p>According to Ganguly, each competition would have its unique characteristics.</p>
<p>“The World Cup, Asia Cup, and Australia’s domestic series are all distinct. Every competition is based on how well they do at that certain time. India has a powerful team, but they must do well at the World Cup, he remarked.</p>
