To commemorate MS Dhoni’s 42nd birthday, fans in Andhra Pradesh install a 72-foot cutout and pour milk

On Friday, legendary wicketkeeper-batsman and former India captain MS Dhoni turned 42, and supporters all across the nation are observing the occasion like a festival. Even though he doesn’t do anything online, his fans have taken social media by storm. Since Dhoni’s birthday started at midnight, wishes have been flooding in. People are coming up with new methods to show their appreciation for Dhoni. To commemorate his birthday, his supporters in Andhra Pradesh have made up a cut-out that is 77 feet tall, and they have even poured milk on it.

Social media has been flooded with videos and pictures showing a cutout of Dhoni standing proudly in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandigama. Another cut-out, allegedly 52 feet tall, was put into place in Hyderabad. Dhoni is shown in the cutout in Nandigama wearing the CSK training uniform, whereas the cutout in Hyderabad was wearing an Indian jersey.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-61744″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-to-commemorate-ms-dhonis-42nd-birthday-fans-in-andhra-pradesh-install-a-72-foot-cutout-and-pour-milk-dhoni-750×422.jpg” alt=”” width=”1560″ height=”878″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-to-commemorate-ms-dhonis-42nd-birthday-fans-in-andhra-pradesh-install-a-72-foot-cutout-and-pour-milk-dhoni-750×422.jpg 750w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-to-commemorate-ms-dhonis-42nd-birthday-fans-in-andhra-pradesh-install-a-72-foot-cutout-and-pour-milk-dhoni-1024×576.jpg 1024w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-to-commemorate-ms-dhonis-42nd-birthday-fans-in-andhra-pradesh-install-a-72-foot-cutout-and-pour-milk-dhoni-768×432.jpg 768w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-to-commemorate-ms-dhonis-42nd-birthday-fans-in-andhra-pradesh-install-a-72-foot-cutout-and-pour-milk-dhoni-390×220.jpg 390w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-to-commemorate-ms-dhonis-42nd-birthday-fans-in-andhra-pradesh-install-a-72-foot-cutout-and-pour-milk-dhoni-150×84.jpg 150w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/www.theindiaprint.com-to-commemorate-ms-dhonis-42nd-birthday-fans-in-andhra-pradesh-install-a-72-foot-cutout-and-pour-milk-dhoni.jpg 1280w” sizes=”(max-width: 1560px) 100vw, 1560px” />

Dhoni, who is considered as one of the all-time greats in the sport, has helped Indian cricket reach new heights, particularly in white-ball cricket. Before the World Test Championship (WTC) final was introduced, Dhoni was the only captain to win every ICC trophy.

After being selected the Indian captain for the first time, he guided India to victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Later in 2011, he became only the second Indian captain to win the 50-over World Cup in India, behind Kapil Dev. A few years later, in the 2013 Champions Trophy final, Dhoni guided India to their first-ever outright victory.

In the Indian Premier League, Dhoni’s reputation is almost nonexistent. He now owns the IPL record for most games captained, and his side, the Chennai Super Kings, just tied the mark set by the Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, with five title victories. In addition, Dhoni has guided CSK in all but two of the tournament’s league stages.

His career statistics show that he participated in 90 Test matches and amassed 4876 runs, including six hundreds and 33 half-centuries, at an average of 38.09. His 294 dismissals rank first among Indian wicketkeepers in Test cricket. Along with 1617 runs in 98 T20Is, he also scored 10773 runs in 350 ODIs, including 10 tons and 73 half-centuries.
