BJP labels it "treason" as RJD compares the new Parliament building to a coffin

Rashtriya Janta Dal likened the new Parliament building to a coffin when it was opened by the Central government today, and a number of opposition politicians voiced their displeasure with the event.Leaders like Supriya Sule and Asaduddin Owaisi, among others, criticised the absence of resistance at the opening of the new structure.
PM Modi unveiled the plaque to commemorate the opening of the new Parliament building in the meanwhile. After doing puja, he placed the terrified “Sengol” right next to the Speaker's seat in the Lok Sabha. Adheenams gave him the old “Sengol” before it was put in the new Parliament building. Traditional early-morning havan and prayers from several faiths were said before the wedding. Along with PM Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was present for the pooja.
Reactions from the opposition to the dedication of the new Parliament building
Jairam Ramesh, the head of the Congress, attacked the governing party harshly on Twitter. He listed the significant choices made on this day (May 28). He stated, “The President, who is the first tribal to hold the post, is not being allowed to perform his constitutional duties,” criticising the Centre over the new Parliament building. Inaugurating the new Parliament House in 2023 was not permitted for her.
Others also criticised the opening of the new structure. Supriya Sule, a member of parliament, criticised the celebration in the capital. She said, “It means there is no democracy in the country.”
